West Loop Auto Body exceeds expectations again. Excellent customer service (big nod to Janet who is wonderful).
The staff is very honest and friendly here! This is one of the best autobody shops in the city.. Its convenient to get to and they do a thorough job.. their waiting room is really clean and comfortable unlike some other places where you feel gross just sitting there! They offer shuttling services too which is nice!
I registered on Yelp just to write this review. I've had horrible luck with cars over the past few years (3 accidents + 3 other major repairs on 3 different vehicles) so I've visited West Loop more than anyone should have to visit an Auto Repair shop. Despite the awful circumstances each time I've had to go there, the folks at West Loop have been nothing but spectacular. Its great to be able to deal with a place that takes care of things quickly and professionally with no drama. They even have an Enterprise rental car on site. This is officially 'my car place' now.
I give West Loop Auto Body a 10 for the great service they provided. The Staff there was very polite and professional. I will definitely be using their services again. It is hard to find a good shop now a days.
I went to this shop because a friend told me they knew someone who went there and had work done and said it was reasonable and great quality. I normally just go where my family goes for service but let me tell you, they blew me out of the water. The customer service I received was like nothing I ever experienced. The staff was beyond welcoming and offered me so many options for repairing my truck. Demetrius, Raymond, and Ryan were like my old friends. So then I felt ok if their this good something must be up, maybe the repairs were mediocre or something but was I surprised. They made my old truck look like it was showroom quality again. I had 3 previous estimates to repair all my old dents and rust ranging from $5000-$6000. I was told how much of a difficult job it would be and it would take at least a month to complete by the other shops. West Loop not only got it done in 2 1/2 weeks but for $4000. I was astounded I must say. Superior quality and very reasonable who wouldn't want that. Unfortunately my wife had a run in with a dumpster so I'll definitely be back sooner than I thought, she must be in cahoots with them lol. West Loop keep rockin !!!!
I recently took my car to West Loop Auto body. I have used them a number of times in the past years. As always the work was great. Demetrius and Carlos took the time to walk me through the work that would be done to my car. It took a little longer than projected because State Farm wanted to use replacement parts that did not fit and then they had to order OEM parts. The color match on the paint was great. I was in a front end collision and after about two weeks from picking up the car the horn stopped working. Took it back and they replaced the horn bling state farm for the repair - which state farm paid. I will definitely continue to use West Loop Auto Body in the future
OK, We've had our car for about five months now and though we bought it used with a lot of miles. But we've never had any trouble with it at all. All of a sudden out of the blue it would just die when driving it down the street. Worst part about it, is it would stop at around 50 mph So it wasn't like I could just pull over. It was always on the express way or Lake Shore Drive.
I took it to an auto shop on the north side which shall remain nameless. They took my car for three days and charged me almost $1,000.00 for all of these readjustments that they supposedly made. One week later, It died again. Someone we met refered us to West Loop Auto and told us they had a good experience there. We went there expecting to shell out another $1,000 and lose our car for another half a week.
They found the issue (apparently a minor one) in about an hour and fixed it for under $150
My experience with them was brief and I didn't learn all that much about them, but I could tell they were honest and not way over priced
I gotta say, these guys are the best in my world. My Subaru needed to pass inspection. For 6 months I'd been trying to get the check engine light off. Kept taking it to the same guy who kept ripping me off and not fixing the problem. Then tried Midas, who said they could fix it- for 2k (new catalytic converter needed). Time was running out- needed my emissions sticker and no prayer of finding 2k. Wandered by West Loop, explained what was going on, and lack of cash. They fixed it well enough to pass inspection, charged me $200, AND cleaned the car inside and out! Hallelujah! The mechanic even came out to explain exactly what he had done so that I understood it. What a nice change from the thief I had been seeing before. In the end, I still need anew catalytic converter (check engine light eventually came back on) but when I do scrape the money together I will bring it to West Loop, who has earned my loyalty (and told me they'd charge nmore like 1k for the catalytic converter).
Just picked up my car from West Loop on S. Morgan and it was great. One minor item at final inspection but they had me wait about 15 minutes and took care of it with no hassle. Final bill matched the estimate and the special ""pearl"" paint was also a perfect match. It was ready when they said it would be and everyone was friendly and attentive.
The only small gripe was that it seemed like the estimator wanted to include some stuff I didn't really need (I was paying out of my own pocket) but he let me watch the screen as he prepared it and explained each item and answered my ""why"" questions so I avoided that extra cost.
Like Melek, I also had a bit of a tricky situation, but the guys at West Loop Auto Body saved me! I swear I am not an idiot, but was having a rough morning and accidentally locked my keys inside my car. While it was running. A locksmith told me that it would cost me $180 to come out and open up my car. So I called West Loop Auto Body and somebody was there within 15 minutes and didn't charge me anything to open up my door! Nice guys. And I've talked to a couple of people in the neighborhood who have also had positive experiences here.
