I needed a lot of work on my resume. It had been a while since I had updated it. King Career's experts took me through multiple sessions. They were helpful using varying angles to extract information even I had not thought of when looking through my past achievements. The content reflected these enhancements. Next we focused on the layout and after showing me multiple formats, we agreed on one that looked perfect from my perspective. After we finished the layout, we moved on to what I felt was the most agonizing part, that was shortening the overall length of the resume. It is very difficult, for me, to eliminate my own words. However, bouncing this off of a professional makes it a little easier and gives clarification. The final product is far superior to what I originally came in with.

I also want to say that the other aspects of their services were excellent. I enjoyed the interview preparation, since those sessions tied a lot of my resume updates into it.

I recently relocated from the west coast to Charlotte, due to my husband's job transfer. We had a few telephone conversations and I realized I needed their assistance. I engaged their services and we began with telephone sessions on the weekends. I was employed at the time, so that was best for my schedule. Going through these sessions gave me a greater understanding of what I truly wanted in my career and as a by-product I became more aware of my past mistakes when transitioning to a new company. Coupled with some polishing of my resume and cover letter, I began to feel better about myself as a more marketable applicant. My final piece was the extensive interview preparation. This allowed me to easily react in any situation.

I had taken some time off due to an illness and had decided to re-enter the job market. I was completing a project for my current employer. I felt lethargic and overwhelmed. This is when I realized that I needed a change.



I found King Career Consultants online and engaged their services after meeting the crew. I was impressed with how fluid the program was and we were able to accelerate the process with some after-hours meetings. Jerry was amazing with his insights and teachings. Based on all of King Career's information and expertise, I landed in my ideal company.



I now feel energized about my future career path.

This is one of the shadiest practices I have seen in quite awhile. Jerry King contacted me on the premise of having a job for me based on a resume he had pulled from an online database. He seemed very intent on getting me into his office to begin the process.



When I arrived, I discovered this is not a recruiting office. This is an office that requires you to pay a fee for them to market you as a candidate. They are using a model from the late 80's early 90's. The big surprise? He wanted me to cut him a check for $4500 before I left that day.



I would also add that the resume he pulled from an online site was incredibly outdated. He could only pull a partial resume because he does not have a paid subscription to search resumes on that site.



I found it incredibly deceitful and unprofessional that I was brought into the office under false pretenses and submitted to a high-pressure sales pitch for services that I did not solicit and do not need. Avoid this ripoff!!

I partnered with King Career Consultants to help guide my career path. I was unsure what direction I wanted in my career up to that point in my life. Even with a Masters degree, I had been working various jobs and never felt directed, accomplished or making the income that I felt I deserved, especially for as hard as I work. I would interview and accept positions just because I thought that turning one down would be rude to the employer. Utilizing King Career Consultants five phase process was extremely helpful! Honestly it was an eye opener to learn that it was my lack of preparedness all along that was keeping me from landing a decent interview, and that in no way did I have to accept an offer if the position did not meet my needs. Now I feel prepared to not only find the right companies to interview with, but tackle any interview and win!
