Mr. Hampton is the founder of Hampton IP & Economic Consulting, LLC, a forensic accounting and economic consulting firm. Before founding Hampton IP & Economic Consultants and its predecessors, he was a senior manager with Arthur Andersen & Company and manager at KPMG Peat Marwick. He was a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California, Washington, and Utah until 2020. He is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has lectured on intellectual property and economic damages before gatherings of the Washington State Bar Association, Utah State Bar Association, Law & Economics Society, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), and the Licensing Executive Society. He is past chair of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants Litigation Services Committee and past chair of the Salt Lake City Chapter of the Licensing Executive Society. Mr. Hampton graduated from the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business, in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
