Owen Security Solutions

This company was recommended by the local community and because I'd prefer to support local business I decided to go with Owen Security. The installation went smooth but the billing, and support is awful. I pay a monthly maintenance fee in addition to my regular security service so that if I need technical assistance and someone has to come out I won't be charged their high fees. The last time my system went offline they had to send someone out and I was charged. When I questioned it they said the support I needed wasn't included...how convenient. I've had the service for about 2 years and they've had to send out a tech 3 times, all three times I was charged. The virtual keypad is always having issues. At this point I'd love to just cancel with them but I'm stuck in a contract. One of the reasons I switched to them in the first place was to cut back on cost. I have less equipment with Owens and now because they just increased their rates I'm paying more than my last security provider for less service. Last time I had to call them with a billing question the nice lady took note of my issues/complaints with their company and sounded very sincere with her apology and said she'd pass along my frustrations and have someone contact me. It's been over two months and I've never heard from anyone. Seems to me they know the issues they just don't care. I will not recommend this company to anyone and will definitely not be renewing my contract.

Glitches all the time!
Currently, it has me held captive in my own house! It will not accept my code to disarm!
I’ve called...... once an hour ago and once just now....... NO CALL BACK.
I’m glad no one is dying!! I’d be in real trouble!!

We have false alarms in the middle of the night all of the time due to faulty sensors. They cannot fix the problem, so we are switching companies.

It is refreshing to know that there are still companies in existence like Owen Security. We have been with the company a little over a year and it is great to have knowledgeable professionals to ensure that our offices are protected. More than anything, Owen Security has provided a peace of mind that is invaluable! Great local company with outstanding customer service!!
