The customer service was polite and accommodating, but I cannot recommend National Home Store to anyone looking for furniture.

1. The packages arrived in torn and damaged boxes, with some pieces of wood splintered. This is where customer service was helpful in getting parts replaced, but…

2. The quality of the job was terrible. I had paid for a stain and it was applied absolutely shabbily. I had to smooth the wood down because it was rough and unsanded in places and ended up staining it myself. The wood for the stairs was warped. Holes weren’t drilled where they should have been, as per the directions. Considering I had paid over a thousand dollars on this product, I expected to get something I could keep for a long time. Instead, now I have something I’m going to try to sell to the next renter, because that would mean taking apart all of my necessary additional structural reinforcements.

3. After Christmas, NHS dropped the price by 60%: this more accurately reflects the quality and also goes to show that they were trying to make easy money off of the holiday. Well, they successfully took advantage of this new customer who was unaware of the reality of their products.

4. The furniture is not structurally sound. Even if it weren’t warped, it would still rock, shudder, and shift due to the design itself. My father had to add a cross bar across the bottom and bolt the stairs to the bed in order to keep it from falling over like Davinci’s Cradle.

After these adjustments, I’m now happy with the bed, but I didn’t pay for such an extensive DIY project. I’m very disappointed in their product.

I purchased a Heavy-duty Solid Wood Bunk Bed. It's a double-double, with weight reinforcement for my adult sons. National Home Store was the only place I could find what I wanted. The bed is perfect for our hunting cabin. We love it. In addition, National's customer service reps, Eric and Jonah, were great to work with. Eric helped me find the right bed for our needs. Jonah helped straighten out my order when I made a change. Highly recommended!

Very unprofessional.

I had made an order for a shoe cabinet that cost $465.00 on 9/10/14 and had sent numerous emails and twice they gave me a tentative shipping date, but it was never shipped. 4weeks later had to file through PayPal to get refund and they still have not answer my request for refund from PayPal and its has been over 3days now. Good luck if any one decided to order anything from this company.

This is the first ever review I have put up about a negative experience. The same thing that has happened to the people below has happened to us. It was delivered to the wrong location and over a month late. Customer service was terrible and promises were made that were not kept. We had to refund money to people in our rental property. Save your time and money and go with any other company.

I ordered an expesive product from National Home Store. It took 64 days from my order (and them charging to my credit card) to receive delivery. I made multiple calls and was told it would be delivered "next week". When the product was delivered, it was very poorly made and damaged. It was not at all what appeared on their website. I have had numerous emails and phone calls to them to no avail. Despite my kindly and carefully worded conversations, they were very rude and refuse to acknowledge the problems. I am talking to a lawyer.

I wanted to submit a review for nationalhomestore.com because I recently experienced such honest service. I just moved into a new house and we needed to order a trundle bed to accommodate below our kids' playroom daybed. In a rush to order it and finish the kids' room, I selected the poly deck pop up trundle. A representative from NHS, named Eric, contacted me via email to let me know the product wasn't in stock but suggested another pop up trundle. Overwhelmed with all the other things going on, I asked Eric a few general questions about the differences between the trundle I ordered versus the suggested trundle. Each of my inquiries were answered quickly and thoroughly but I made a huge mistake and just skimmed through each correspondence, never really comprehending that the representative mentioned on 4 occasions that there is a $99 delivery charge. My original purchase was $150, I kept thinking the $99 was a lesser quality trundle that Eric recommended. When I saw two charges on my credit card, one for $148 and the other for $99, I contacted Eric and asked him to remove the $148 because I had "mistakenly" been charged for both products, then Eric, kindly, explained the charges. After I reviewed all of our emails, he was correct, he stated the shipping charges several times, and I agreed several times. Embarrassed, I asked if he could cancel the order cause it hadn't shipped yet, and within 24 hours, Eric refunded both charges. He was honest and understanding when he didn't have to be, the transaction was completely my oversight. I'm really thankful for honest businesses, more specifically, honest business business people. Thank you, Eric, for your professional efficiency and integrity.

Ordered on 2/13/14. As of 3/4/14 my order STILL has not shipped. Website states merchandise is shipped within 3 days. I have called, emailed and live chat. Every time I am promised it will be shipped the following Monday or Friday. I'm still waiting!!!

Shipping and delivery was so fast! I had my order so quickly and I was so surprised. When they dropped it off they helped me move it to the right place in my home.

I had bought my shoe rack from a national home store completely satisfied with their product and services.
