Dr. Christopher Joseph Christensen, MD

I visited Gasteroenterology Associates twice about a year ago, and the doctor I saw (Nelson) had an awful bedside manner. He was rude and when I asked questions, responded as if they were stupid. I could go on and on about how it was, but you get the idea. Now, a year later, I called to make an urgent appointment with a doctor (any doctor) on their staff, because I was having severe abdominal pains. The operator proceeded to tell me that even though I was in severe pain and there were other doctors on the staff who had appointments open this week, that because Dr. Nelson was in the office (though not available for an appointment), I could NOT see another doctor. This, to me, is outrageous. If a patient is in severe pain and needs an appointment as soon as possible, he/she should be able to see ANY doctor available. Because I was denied an appointment this week, I called the Baton Rouge Clinic and made an appointment. I will never, ever again be calling Gasteroenterology Associates for an appointment (with any of their doctors). Any health facility that does not have the patient's best interest in mind is not one that I recommend.
