Dr. Plantholt received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at United States Public Health Service Hospital and Saint Agnes Hospital. He specializes in clinical cardiology. Dr. Plantholt previously served as chief of cardiology at Saint Agnes Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
