Routine dental cleanings are a very important part of your pet's health. We know that dental disease can lead to heart, liver, and kidney damage. We normally recommend sedated dental cleanings starting around age 3-5 years of age, and then as recommended based off your individual pet's needs. To schedule a dental cleaning, please call our offices for a full oral exam and estimate individualized for your specific pet.
Vaccination
It is recommended that your pet come in for an annual full examination and designated vaccinations to ensure the health of your pet. These routine visits are required for dispensing medication, undergoing surgery, and boarding. Bloodwork and other diagnostics can also be performed during these exams to make sure your pet has the best quality of life.
Comprehensive Examination
We offer boarding at our Avon and Decatur Veterinary Clinics for our long-term clients. Our staff is fully trained to care for special needs pets, pets that take chronic medication, and older pets that need a little extra care. Please remember when choosing our clinics for boarding, that we are primarily a veterinary hospital, not a full service boarding facility. We do not recommend boarding your puppy or young dog that needs extra playtime or exercise. All boarding pets must to be up to date on their yearly wellness exam and vaccines prior to boarding. Pets also must be on a monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention and have a current negative stool sample check on file. Please call our clinics for pricing and availability.
Avon and Decatur Veterinary Clinics both offer a full pharmacy to take the frustration out of getting your pet's prescriptions filled. Whether your pet is on a chronic medication, monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention, or a short term illness, our facilities have readily available medications for your pet's needs. Please allow at least 4 hours for refills or order in our online pharmacy to have medication shipped straight to your home!
Both of our veterinary clinics offer small animal surgery for your pet. Some services offered include routine spays and neuters, feline pre-puberty (less than one year of age) declaws, mass removals, ear hematoma repairs, sedated x-rays for diagnostics, cystotomy, mastectomy, and many more. We do not perform orthopedic surgeries. All procedures require an appointment with the doctor and an estimate prior to scheduling to ensure the safety of your pet prior to anesthesia.
