We just completed our fifth dog being obedience trained by Bob; a 4 pound Maltese. The prior 4 were a 100 lb golden retriever rescue, a 50 lb lab mix rescue, and a 50 lb Aussie over the past 15 years. Needless to say if we acquire another dog we will call Bob for his experience and excellent results.

Babee is a one year old female Blue Heeler mix I adopted from the Atlanta Humane Society six weeks ago. Although she is very smart, her mother (me) didn't have the patience to train her on my own. Bob Moorefield, owner of Alpha Dog Academy, was the first person I thought of when seeking a trainer because one of his trainers trained an AHS puppy I adopted 25 years ago. Bob trained Babee at my home and also worked outside to put her in different situations where distractions would occur. In just 3 weeks, Bob taught Babee to sit, lay down, stay and "go to place" in addition to other commands. He is a fabulous trainer and as important, an amazing teacher for the owner. He was very patient with me and made sure that he pointed out areas of improvement when necessary. I can't say enough about Bob's professionalism, compassion for animals and patience while training Babee and me. I know I can always call Bob if needed with any follow up questions and/or support.

Bob Moorefield has been truly amazing with our little Gracie the Westie Terrier. Honestly, he has been a life-saver for us as new dog owners as well. The change in Gracie is a 180 compared from when we first got her until now. In just one month, Gracie is able to sit, lay down, stay, and "go to your place". And, we are not too far away from "roll over". The way Gracie responds to Bob is so fun to watch, and we are hoping for that response to rub on us some. Bob Moorefield is not only a great dog trainer, but more importantly, a great teacher for the dog owner. He has taught us more than we could ever hope for.

Bob has trained dogs for 40+ yrs and is very passionate about proper training (for both the dogs and owners!). He is greatly respected by our dogs & family. He worked with us in our home but we also worked outside a lot since a key to success is that the dog behaves as trained, regardless of diff situations and distractions. It's amazing how much progress I've made with my 1 and 2 year old Rotts in just 3 short weeks! My neighbors have even been complementing their good behavior. I weigh 100 lbs and both my dogs add up to 200, and I was able to walk both together on a heel -- a feat I never dreamed possible! I can't say enough about how wonderful he is, but I will close by saying that he's a kind, patient man and is very flexible & accommodating. It gives me great confidence to know that I can always call on him and he'll be there for any help I may need going forward. He's truly the best and I highly recommend him for any dog training needs you may have.

Our new puppy is the second dog Bob has trained, the first being the BEST DOG EVER! So there was no question that we should have Bob come back to do the same with this pup and to give me a refresher course. ( It is about training both the dog and the owner )

Once again, He has worked his magic. Starting with day one, we saw progress daily over the 3 weeks with Bob. Sit/stay, down, place, heel, etc., our puppy was learning fast. One of the best things was using a whistle with the come command. After our puppy bolted into the front yard while I was answering the door, I used the whistle and he came right back. I then started to use the place/down/stay command before opening the door! There is no doubt that this dog will also be the BEST DOG EVER! Everyone should have Bob in their puppy's life.

We impulsively got a husky and had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Bob was recommended to us so we decided to have him train our 3-month puppy. It's been a few weeks since our training ended and our puppy is doing great! Bob was great to work with and taught us a lot on how to have a well-behaved dog. He's definitely an excellent dog trainer!

I have never seen a better trained and well-adjusted dog than my sister's dog that Bob trained. She could be told to sit and stay and would literally not move until told it was ok. Bob trained my dog, a big standard poodle rescue at 4 months old and he is now 6. I get compliments all the time in what a well-behaved, sweet dog he is. I am thinking about getting another poodle puppy and have reached out to Bob again.

My dog Dragon is 3 1/2 years old now. We live in Mississippi. When my 4 month old Havanese arrived she was very active and excitable. Bob was referred to me for training. In the time he spent with her I noticed a dramatic change. Unfortunately my puppy was training me and now I have more control. I have not had a dog since childhood and he was very helpful with training techniques, commands and how to handle an active puppy.He also gave me advice on other non-training related issues. My home is very open and he made suggestions on different methods to contain her until house broken.You are also encourage to phone if problems arise after the initial training. Bob spent extra days after the initial three weks with me to follow-up on his training techniques to make sure I got it. I am communicating with her at a much greater level than before thanks to Bob. Very experienced trainer. . Highly recommended. Money well spent.

When we brought two five-month old German Shepherd puppies from the same litter to our home, it was like inviting two tornadoes in constant spinning motion. In three weeks, Bob was an amazing guide, helping us tame the storms by completing basic obedience commands but also by explaining how to build a relationship with each of the puppies. Being from the same litter and so close to one another, it was important for us to set boundaries and learn how to integrate the puppies into our family (rather than joining their pack). With such deep expertise and experience, Bob was able to identify the training techniques and approaches that worked for us...in the end, training us on how we can bring out the best in our dogs. Bob helped explain their behavior, tendencies, and character and was an incredible guide in helping us learn how to communicate with the puppies effectively.
