Reviews
First, let me say I have never written a review online for any positive
or negative experience, but anyone looking for a new nail salon should know this. I have going there for at least 2-3 years. I've never had a problem but if I ever mentioned any small thing they always blamed me for it, but still, I was fine with that. So 2 days ago I got a manicure with Vinyl polish. By the next day the "natural" color had turned somewhat brown so I stopped by to show Jackie and she agreed and told me to come in today to get the polish changed. While there the technician suggested I do gel instead of regular so I asked what the price difference would be and Jackie checked with the management and told me $10.00 so I proceeded with the gel. The girl ask me how long it had been since my last manicure...stating my cuticle needed some work. I told her I had been right there 2 days ago. She trimmed my cuticle, polished my nails and I went to pay. Jackie advised me that I owed $25.00 instead of $10.00 because I had rec'd a manicure and used gel. I then asked for a refund from the original manicure since the first girl did such an inadequate job. She told me that was just tough. So, not only did I receive a subpar manicure initially, but they wanted me to pay full price for the correction. I have seen them treat other people like this but it had never happened to me. Jackie was the one delivering the message because, I assume Mandy (some sort of manager) was not professional enough to confront me. I would strongly recommend that you go anywhere but Tips and Toes.
I went with a groupon and they did not honor so I agreed to pay extra money for the service. Then a 30 min service took 1 hour. The lady that did my nails was VERY inexperience. She got gel polish on my skin and said "oh well that will come off later". She filed my nails uneven, made me bleed while filing and then multipOooole times while clipping my cuticles. The polish was uneven and had bubbles in it, and chipped on day 2. It really looks like a 10 yr old did the job. Then when I asked to have it redone, the owner was rude, when I said I would rather go else where he said okay bye. Worst experience I have ever had getting my nails done.
