Maki Sushi Bar

The food from here is decent. It's even better on the discount days! However, the service is horrendous. I have sat in this place waiting to be noticed for a minimum of at least 45 minutes. I just ended up leaving. I don't know how this place is still open. On a different occasion I had a coupon and the server didn't know how to use it. He said he couldn't because his manager was not there! Ridiculous!

The service is very hit or miss. I always order the Sweet Temptation roll or the Maki Supreme and Calamari Fries and it's interesting how it differs every time I go. The service can be amazing one day and next week they'll be rude and unpleasant. They also rarely ever pick up the phone for orders to go. I once called for an hour and they'd pick up and hang up. I went in and waited 30 minutes for a to go order in the empty restaurant. There were maybe 2 or 3 tables that time.

I love the sushi, but I hate the service! The servers seriously need a crash course on how to serve tables. I don't understand how they can be so freaken slow. They CANNOT juggle multi tasking. I had ordered my food 40 minutes before we got to the restaurant, and we still had to wait 30 minutes to get our food. It took me telling the waiter more than five times to even clean the damn table. However, when your pregnant and are craving a certain food, you want to fulfill your craving. My friend and i did not leave a tip and I wasn't trying to be rude, but all of the servers kept "wiping their a**) with anything we asked for. We will NOT EVER DINE IN, but will take it to go. The food is good and not that expensive.

MY FAMILY AND I DECIDED TO TRY THIS PLACE BECAUSE WE LOVE SUSHI. THIS PLACE HAS THE WORST SERVICE EVER! PLUS THEY TAKE FOREVER TO ASK YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO DRINK. THEN THEY TAKE LIKE ANOTHER FIFTEEN TO TWENTY MINUTES TO ASK U WHAT YOU WANT TO EAT. THE MANAGEMENT STAFF IS HORRIBLE WE TRIED EXPLAINING TO HIM WHAT HAPPENED AND HE SAID THAT SUSHI USUALLY TAKE ABOUT AN HOUR TO GET DONE. BY THE HE SMELLED LIKE CIGARRETES ESPECIALLY IN HIS HANDS. I TAUGHT IS WAS SO DISGUSTING BECAUSE HE HANDLES FOOD. I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS PLACE! NEXT TIME ILL JUST GO TO KUMORI LIKE I USUALLY DO.

I have been there a few times during the lunch hour and the sushi was always very tasty. My only complaint is the service - it has always been slow, the servers are pretty inattentive. The atmosphere isn't very "intimate" so if that's what you're looking for, then try somewhere else. HOWEVER, the FOOD is very good and much more affordable than other sushi places in the area.

I've been there 3 times beside ordering delivery twice. My last experience was on a friday. We arrived at 7:10 and walked out at 9:15 and still hadn't gotten our food. I know they have a special on rolls but I would"ve rathered paid full price and get served faster instead of sitting for 2 hours and have to go somewhere else to eat. However, our food came out as soon as we got up to leave and the owner asked us if we still wanted our food. It would've been more professional if she had offered it to go. Instead we watch as she took it to the kitchen. I guess if you want there great food go on any other day except tues. and fridays. Oh! I almost forgot to mention that on tues. and fridays you can forget about them answering the food for take out.

Try the Hot Makis! They are excellent along with the sushi selection of course. The environment is nice and serene and I enjoy visiting this restaurant whenever i want to relax and enjoy some great food!
