I had an absolutely horrible experience here today. The sender of my package messed up a number on my address so I had to do package interception through the USPS website and input my card info so I could be charged when the package arrived. When I got there to pick up my package, after a quick search they informed me that my package was not there and had been sent to my house. I pulled out my phone to show them that the track your package page said that my package was delivered to their office yesterday. They did a little more searching and found it (sigh). They told me I owed $12.55, and I told them that my debit account showed that I had already been charged that the day before. This is when they started to become rude with me, talking to each other saying "You need to explain to her why she still needs to pay". I requested that they show me the label on the package. There was a tracking number different than the one I was given. This label also said that my package was shipped the day before and was to be delivered today. I explained that this was strange to me because it meant that the shipping label had been printed the day before, which was when my package apparently arrived at their office. By this time, I had already talked to two people and had been waiting for about an hour. After talking to a third person, named KEITH, I decided enough was enough. This man was unbelievably rude to me. When I tried to show him that I had been charged he told me to "stop shoving my phone in his face". I finally gave up and said I would just pay it again, to which Keith replied by telling me I could go wait back in the long line for a register.
I try very hard to be polite with these workers. I understand that they are employed by the government and aren't given much motivation to please the customer. But these employeese, with their blatant disregard for my time and money, ruined my whole day. So do yourself a favor and just go to a different postal office.

The help was generally incompetent as they were not aware of USPS services offered on their website. I was spoken to rudely and basically belittled when stating the facts of my issue. Not only that, but the staff member said the only person that could help me was on vacation and was ready to hang up on me until I asked if he would pass along my issue to said person. He then says - would you want to be bothered on vacation! An incredible ignorance of any type of basic customer service from this person! It's shocking that this type of behavior is tolerated. There are plenty out there that would be willing to take his job while offering helpful treatment of customers. I'll be flabbergasted if I actually get a call back and if my mail issue is ever resolved. Unfortunately, this is what the public has come to expect from the USPS (an incompetent wall of bureaucracy that cannot be penetrated except by a miracle) as many working there, though not all to be fair, have earned this reputation.
