Taqueria is everything.
If you're looking for a super traditional Mexican experience, this might not be the place...but if you want the best tacos and queso in town, step right up.
I always opt for the fried chicken tacos with rice and a queso - you can't go wrong. Trust me.

Taqueria del Sol is a Mexican restaurant with locations in West Midtown and Cheshire Bridge. Simple tacos, great queso, and maybe even better guacamole. Taqueria isn't going to blow your mind in the culinary department but it will do the trick and keep you coming back for more. The food is consistent and inexpensive. The restaurant is super casual. It has indoor/outdoor seating, you order at the counter and the food comes out almost questionably fast. Don't let the line turn you away, as previously mentioned, they get the food to your table fast.

I am a huge fan of Taqueria del Sol, and I love how quick they are with getting food out of the kitchen and onto your table. Their cheese dip is probably one of the best in the city (if not in the South) and their tacos & enchiladas are pretty good. Service isn't always the best at this location, but that's because it's jam-packed with people ALL OF THE TIME. If you're okay with waiting for at least 30 minutes to order and sit down, then this location is fine.

I'm not exactly sure what all the hype is about with this place that I would want to stand in line For tacos. Yes their tacos are good but I did not find the staff really friendly and their system for ordering and seating left me frustrated. I also have never understood restaurants of this variety that are not kid friendly.

I love this place. Great food and even has a nice view of Atl. The only thing I would change is their confusing business hours.

Go for the guacamole. I'm usually pretty neutral when it comes to Mexican food, but there is something enticing about going to a place that usually has a line 20 people deep on a Tuesday night. Which their enchiladas & tacos are pretty par for the course...their guacamole & queso coudln't be any better. I actually sometimes choose to make an entire meal out of it! Oh, and their chips...not sure what they season them with, but they too are one of a kind!

I agree with many that posted before. I cannot understand why you cannot eat until you have placed an order. Things would go much smoother if they would allow people to sit down and order. I think the food is great, however; the people taking your order are rude i.e. (sitting your card on the counter when you placed it in their hand) and can often rush you when you attempt to order. I have seen a different treatment of us African Americans versus other people being serviced. Thought it was just me until I took a friend in and she experienced the same. Also, my boyfriend did on other occasion. They expect to get tipped but don't even deserve our business! My friend called and the manager did nothing in regards to her complaints about being mistreated and disrespected for some two dollar tacos. I am just over those people!

Don't forget daily specials! I love their margarita too. I usually avoid Friday evening and weekends'evening.
