Overall

I've been taking my pets to Coastal for years and have had very good experiences. I have even taken my dog in without an appointment and Dr. Bissell stayed way past office hours to treat an abscess on his paw. They are kind, true animal lovers and while I'm the pickiest thing on earth about a vet for my babies, I have been extremely happy at Coastal.

I started taking my Lab to Coastal the third day they opened and they are the absolute best. Dr. and Mrs. Gray are wonderful people and we (Couch family) trust them with our pets for all their needs. My son Dearl has his Lab there at least twice a week for their pet sitting service. There is not a better Vet. Hospital in the state. Jim Couch.

What a great place! My dog loves to go there, and absolutely LOVES dog daycare! The staff has been wonderful, and the doctors have been so helpful and informative. Would recommend Coastal to anyone who wants the best for their pets-

Front desk staff rude! Our animals had all shots prior to our move to Florida plus a 3 year rabies vaccine. Front desk said before we could have our dogs groomed they would require a fecal exam and a shot for kennel cough. They contacted our vet who verified they received all of the vaccines in March. Manufacturer of vaccine recommends this shot (for kennel cough) is good for 1 year and it is not needed or recommeded to be administered every 6 months. Just a way for this place to collect more money to support their 7 vets on staff! I will tell EVERYONE not to go to this place as it is unethical. More interested in money than your animal's health.

vet tech handles appt. over vet dr. & gives wrong info!

it took 2 and 1/2 hours to complete an annual physical/shots and possible intestional infection exam and there were no emergency care situations that occurred during that time that interrupted my cat's needs.( * plus my appt. was 20 mins. behind when they called me in) vet tech allowed my cat to get her foot hurt by getting it caught in a grate (while in the back of the house) then tried to cover it up and out in out lied to me about it but after a series of questions on my part another tech informed me of the accident! (while i heard my cat howling he did not scratch or bite the incompetent tech responsible for the incident) missinformation was given to dr.,by the tech and thus ,confusion occured about was treatment options and tests were needed. dr. seemed rushed and not focused on my cat's health. i had more face to face time with the "crappy"tech than i had with the vet herself! (FYI: dr. also did not even know of any animal charity organizations in the area although she has been here 5 years!) after an estimate cost of $175.00 during check out the final cost was $280.00!!! the only bright thing about this vet practice was the front office staff...they were the only ones who apologized for the lenght of time it took and for the painful paw accident!!!! do not...i repeat do not take your pet to this hospital!!!!! beware!
