Over the years my family has adopted pets from PetsInc 3 times. Those pets are thriving and bring us much joy. After having to say goodbye to my 11.5 year old arthritic American Bulldog last week...coincidentally on the first day of our family beach vacation, I was dreading coming home 5 days later to an empty home. I found myself on Leaphart Rd and decided to stop by PetsInc to see what they had. The second dog I looked at stole my heart and I'm pretty sure i stole his, too. Needless to say, my search ended before it really began. Frost came home with me, got a new name, Ringo, which fits him perfectly and it's like we've known each other forever. I've read some bad reviews about PetsInc, but after following them since their inception and admitting they had a couple of rough years after the founder passed away, i can truly say we've never been disappointed in PetsInc in almost 30 years. Some people seem to be under the impression that they are "buying" a dog and it should be in perfect health and come with a guarantee. When you get a pet from a shelter, the money doesn't go in anyone's pocket. The adoption fee is there to cover the cost of all the things that happen BEFORE you see a nice clean pup or kitty. Most of the time the shelters know nothing about the animal's past...what it's been through, what it's been exposed to or any family history. Every animal there has to be fed, bathed, go thru a medical and behavior evaluation. They need bedding, meds, treatments, spay or neuter and that's just the everyday things. They also have to have people there to administer each of these things and do the things we don't see...feed them, give them meds, clean up after them, do TONS of laundry and cleaning of the facilities, etc. How dare anyone say they are in it for the MONEY??? That is just ridiculous! And to say $150 or $250 is too much??? Try buying a pet from a breeder and add the cost of spaying or neutering plus regular vet care. I assure you $150-$200 isn't even a drop in the bucket. If that's how you feel, you probably don't need to be a pet owner! PetsInc rocks!

Here, you don't buy a dog, you...

Here, you don't buy a dog, you adopt it & give it a great loving home. I got my dog here & she is now part of my family. I can't imagine my life without her!

They do a great job. I got one of my dogs from there . They said she was about 6 years old at adoption. I loved her for many years till she passed. She brought so much joy and companionship to me.

I took my eight week old kitten to see their vet. Yes, he had fleas but, also other symptoms were present. I saw the vet for a matter of 5 minutes. They gave him a bath, shot of fluid, and an antibiotic, stating he had a sinus infection and flea anemia.Told me to feed him baby food and he would be up and running. Unfortunately, my kitty died two days later. He was misdiagnosed and passed away. He suffered greatly his last hours here on earth. Shame on you, Pets Inc!!!!! DO NOT NEVER TAKE YOUR PETS TO PETS INC FOR CARE. I HAD HEARD THIS SEVERAL TIMES FROM OTHERS. I LEARNED MY LESSON, PLEASE DO NOT HAVE TO LEARN YOURS. The CEO, Reed, called me after a huge dispute with the Clinic. Was told he would have the vet call me and as of this morning, three days later, I have not heard from the vet or the CEO Reed. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY......NOT YOUR PET'S AND APPARENTLY THE ONES THEY HAVE IN THEIR OWN BUILDING!

I would not recommend getting a pet from Pets Inc. I was deceived about the health of my dog, and have incurred far more expenses than I had ever anticipated at the time of adoption. I had been assured that she was "perfectly healthy". However, I discovered that she had ringworm when I took her home. Unfortunately this was only the start of her multiple health issues. She had multiple infections, bleeding from her eye and chest, and was recommended for surgery due her multiple health issues. Despite informing Pets Inc of her health status, they were not willing to work with me. Their vet saw my dog, but he would not call me back and did not document his treatment, so I am still unsure of what he did that day. I have had to take my dog to the vet 6 times within the first month and a half of having her. Due to their lack of assistance and lack of honestly regarding my dog's health, I strongly urge others not to get a dog from Pets Inc.

Well they are good at taking animals in and getting the pets adopted out I just was charged more for a small chichuaua puppy than a lab mix puppy about 3 years ago. It was 150.00 for the lab and 250.00 for the chichuaua puppy. Now I had no serious medical illnesses which was very good and the service was good and they keep the area clean. I just think the prices get a little pricey if you are trying to get homes for these animals some people can't afford some of those prices. I just think if the prices were not as high on the animals they might get more of the animals adopted out still to good homes.

Pets inc seems to be a great place, till they sell you a puppy with parvo. As another critic said, I also adopted a puppy from here and they had parvo and a tick on her. 3 days later she had to get taken to the vet, and put down due to parvo. The place doesn't have the resources to test puppies before they get there, or to keep the facilities clean enough. When I brought it to the attention of faculty, they just sent it up to the administration office supposedly. This place shouldn't be open, and don't buy a puppy from here! Save the heart ach!

Just as bad as any puppy mill !

We just adopted an 8 week old puppy last week. What a beautiful little girl she is. After her being home a few days, discovered she has parvo ! Was told by the emergency animal vet that the see countless dogs come from Pet's Inc with this illness. Have found several other people who have had exact same experience. This place needs to be shut down. One dog in the facility has Parvo, many many more do as well. They are not taking the appropriate steps to protect the animals what so ever. Oh, and did I mention, more than likely it's has infected our other dog !!! Notifying Humane Society, MSPCA.
