Purchased a truck on 6/19/18, before purchasing the truck had Ray's garage do a diagnostic, paid 45 dollars for the diagnostic and was told the truck was in good condition. Needed new tire's and an oil change, but besides that was in good condition. I was referred there by the guy who sold me the truck, and the entire time him and the technician we're acting like good friends which I thought was strange, but based on this information, purchased the truck. The next day 6/20/18 went and attempted to get an oil change, during this had the shop do a courtesy inspection for me, imagine my surprise when I received new's the vehicle was barely safe to drive and had things that needed to be replaced immediately. Was given a 3500 dollar bill the day after getting an all clear from Ray's Garage. Called the garage, spoke to the same technician named Steve and he told me the company who told me there was damage lied and gave me the owner of Ray's garage's email. Went and got a third quote from a auto mechanic that I have known my entire life and from his was told everything the second company told me about the damage, plus more. This truck that I purchased and have driven three time's is barely safe to drive and was given a green light by Ray's garage. Have contacted the owner multiple times with no response and am getting stonewalled at the shop. NEVER go here even with the good reviews, because either they didn't look or blatantly lied to me and I'm now stuck with a 5000 dollar repair bill on a truck that I've owned less then a week.

On my way to work my car wouldn't shift into gear, so I coasted to a nearby parking lot and walked to work. On my lunch break I called ray's and talked to heather, she was so helpful by giving me possible quotes. After I got a tow truck sorted out, I got it towed over to rays and they had a diagnosis within an hour and it was fixed the next morning! Dealing with car troubles is probably one of the most stressful things but the staff at ray's garage are so friendly and caring that it made it a bit easier. I'll be using Ray's garage for all my car needs now

Best repair shop in SLC...I was recommeneded them by another mechanic, a friend who I've known for years. So I started taking my cars there--I am a perfectionist and I also compare prices. They have consistently been the cheapest and there has never been a single issue with any of their work. Once you find a trustworthy mechanic, you stick with them. I now have my extended family using them and they are all very pleased. I would pay double for the quality of work this shop does. I have used them for major repair jobs on 2 of my cars over the course of about a decade. I would never go anywhere else.

We had a $875 estimate from a large shop to replace an A/C compressor. Ray determined that only one compressor part needed to be replaced, and completed the repair for less than $400. Thanks, Ray.

Took our car in for inspections. Needed a few things. Took us to the cleaners on an item. Can't trust Ray on everything so be careful. Ask questions and make him answer them, cause he will avoid answering and make it sound like a easy inexpensive fix.
