Bay Area Computerman

I took my computer into this place on the recommendation of a friend who said he was good and was reasonable. I dropped it off, briefly explained the problem and how I thought he could replicate it. I had even emailed him a link so he could see the blank (not black) screen I had told him about.
The next day I got a call from him explaining he could not replicate the problem, had run all kind of diagnostics and could not find a problem. He also kept referring to a black screen not blank which I thought was part of the misunderstanding. When I asked him if he looked at the picture in the link I sent him he said he couldn’t bring the link up which I thought was odd.
Knowing there was a problem that I thought he may have misunderstood, I tried to get him to verify the steps to replicate the problem. Not only would he talk over and interrupt me at every turn, but I actually had to ask his permission to finish a sentence. I finally succumbed to his talking over, jumping to conclusions before I could finish a sentence and accepted the total lack of listening skills and agreed to just pick up the computer.
To be honest, after I picked up my computer and thought about it, I realized I was actually perplexed by his behavior towards me. I really gave him no provocation to treat me like that. Upon more in depth research into his reviews, especially the one stars (and there are plenty of them 20 to be exact on Yelp alone), I could see there was a pattern of complaints of treating customers badly.
So my recommendation to a potential customer is, if you have a problem that requires any kind of explanation, replication on his part, or anything which is not already apparent on the screen and verifiable by looking directly at the problem, this may not be the guy for you.
It is bad enough I wasted time and gas money driving from Morgan Hill to San Jose AND $39.95 for diagnostics, but my real issue is with the antagonistic way I was treated with absolutely no provocation.

My computer fan failed. But when I arrive it seems to work well. The owner help me clean the fan and free of charge. They are honest and very helpful. I will come again next time I have any computer issue.

Viruses again!, my computer was infected with the Vista Antivirus 2008, slow boot, pop ups all over the screen, no Control Panel!!!, I thought it cannot be fixed, but I went to Computerman and after 24 hours I got my computer in a working perfect condition!!! this guys are awesome!!

My laptop would not turn on. Every techy person I asked about my laptop told me that my motherboard needed to be replaced and it would cost atleast $300 just for parts. Well I called these guys up, Bay Area Computerman, and gave me a quote over the phone that I couldn't believe. They told me $149.95 plus parts for the whole repair. A lot cheaper than $300 for the part alone. So I took it to these guys, got it fixed in only 3 days! and I only paid about $167. If you want the pro's, go to these guys. If you want to save money, go to these guys. Bay Area Computerman, I highly recommend! Thanks guys!

These guys got my computer up and running in a couple of days. They were honest and even gave me tips on what I can do to try to prevent the problem. I liked the fact that I can actually talk to their technicians without being rushed out of there. Good job Bay area Computerman! I highly recommend them, and they have my business everytime I have a computer problem.

I went to Bay Area Computer man with a weird virus and spyware infection...I visited before a well known computer services chain but they weren't good enough cleaning my computer even thought the $$$ was a lot. I went to Bay Area Computerman and in 24 hours they gave me my computer clean...yes clean with no viruses, all my programs and files are still there, I am so glad I found Bay Area Computerman in my way home...
