        Optimist Pool is one of the facilities operated by the parks and facilities department of the city government of Raleigh in North Carolina. The pool s complex features an Olympic size swimming pool, baby pool, and diving well with low and high diving boards. An air-supported bubble encloses the main pool during the fall, winter and spring seasons, making it suitable for use during the whole year. The pool facility offers a wide range of swimming programs, including lap and recreational swimming, water exercise programs, a city swim league, swim clinics, American Red Cross learn to swim lessons, lifeguard training and instructor level classes. The facility also offers specialty water exercise classes for people with arthritis. It also hosts a variety of swimming competitions during the summer months.
