IHOP

I'll give it a star for the fact the food was good and the atmosphere was clean. The service was pretty bad, the waitress never checked on us, people that came in after us were served thier food before us, We were given the wrong bill, etc. Just a rather unpleasant visit.

I ordered breakfast at this IHOP on Layton one morning. I ate what I could and took the other half of my breakfast sandwich to go. Later in the day, I decided to eat the left over sandwich; as I was about to take a second bite I saw a piece of dark, coarse hair stuck in the egg! I immediately called IHOP and asked to speak to a manager. The purpose of my call was only to recommend better hand-washing and proper use of hair nets for the cooks. I did not ask for a refund or a replacement meal. However, the manager I spoke to was very rude about the situation and claimed that he would've given me a refund if I would've found the hair while I was physically sitting in the restaurant or if I would've brought it back immediately. I tried to explain that I did not want a refund, I want him to reinforce the sanitation skills to the cooks; but I don't think he understood the point of the phone call and I couldn't understand his broken english so I ended up hanging up out of frustration. I will never eat there again and will not recommend it to anyone!
