- Dr. John V Tiberi III is an orthopaedic surgeon fellowship-trained and dedicated to the fields of hip and knee replacement. His advanced training and sub-specialization enable him to apply minimally invasive and technologically advanced techniques and focus on accelerated recovery to both simple and complex hip and knee conditions. Originally a native of the South Bay, Dr. Tiberi earned his undergraduate degree at The Johns Hopkins University where he was selected to be a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Premedical, Biological, and Leadership Honor Societies as well as an Academic All-American as a member of the varsity football team. He attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego where he served as his class president. Dr. Tiberi completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He received fellowship training in hip and knee replacement and hip arthroscopy at The Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School, institutions that are nationally and internationally recognized for their contributions to these particular fields.

Provided by Doctor.comDr. Tiberi is nothing short of AMAZING ! He replaced my right hip and it was a walk in the park from start to finish. Virtually no meds after the surgery and back to work in six days with a cane. Back to normal after a month and with physical therapy getting back to a full range of motion. DO NOT WAIT. Have it done asap and walk away from the miserable pain of a bad hip. There is no one better on the planet than Dr. Tiberi. Trust me because you will not be disappointed.

Provided by Doctor.comI have had a great experience with Kerlan Jobe and Dr Tiberi. I have been a patient for years for other problems but I recently had both of my knees replaced. I am so happy to not have that aching pain and to be able to sleep. Dr Tiberi and Katie have always been very professional an willing to spend time answering all of my questions.

I was told by 2 other doctors that I was too young to have this surgery so I lived with very bad pain for years before I saw Dr Tiberi. He said I was certainly younger than the typical patient, but I was a candidate for surgery. I am so happy I did it and wish I had it sooner. Thank you!

I had my hip replaced by another doctor 10 years ago. I always had some problems with it, but last year I had 3 dislocations. I was recommended to Dr. Tiberi by a friend. He re-did my hip, and I have been doing great. I am so grateful. I was living in fear before, and now I do not even think about it.
I have had both of my knees replaced about 1 year apart. It has been about 1 year since my last surgery. I am very happy and my knees do not hold me back from doing anything I want to do anymore. Dr. Tiberi always took the time to answer my questions and explain everything to me. I have absolutely no complaints.
Both of my knees feel so much better than before they were replaced. They used to grind, pop, and hurt with every step. It has not been long since my surgeries, but I already feel so much better. Thank you!
I feel very fortunate to have had Dr Tiberi as my doctor for my knee replacement. He and the entire staff did an excellent job throughout the entire process. I recommend him highly.
Overall, I had a truly exception experience. Sarah and Dr. Tiberi are the best. I had so many questions before surgery because I was so nervous, but they really made me feel at ease. I am so happy I had my knee replaced and wish I had done it sooner.
