During my appointment, Dr. Stephens informed me of the need for cataract surgery. He was very thorough, explaining everything to expect. It is so good to wake-up able to see without glasses! I highly recommend Thomas Eye Group and Dr. Stephens. The staff is also awesome.

Thomas Eye Group participates in many major health insurance plans. Coverage varies by patient and insurance company. Not all insurance companies will cover a non-medical office visit (such as a routine annual eye exam including refraction) and we do not accept every vision plan tied to the health insurance plan. Ulcer
A corneal ulcer is an open sore on the cornea. Corneal ulcers usually result from an eye infection, but severe dry eye or other eye disorders may also cause them. Your doctor can diagnose an ulcer by staining the surface with a fluorescein dye that will show damage under the slit lamp light. Common symptoms of a corneal ulcer include redness and pain, blurred vision, tearing, and the sensation that a foreign object is in the eye.
