Grinders

I had to try it after seeing it on DDD. and was not really impressed although wasnt too bad, I just figured it would be so great cause of the show, probably just thought too much, You will want to try this for sure.

I heard about Grinders West, in Kansas City, from The Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," and although it's a cool and casual place to hang out and drink an array of great beers, when it comes to the food, it passes creative ville but falls short of reaching flavor town.

I usually love this place but you can have a bad expereince here. The food it better than most but not stellar and depending on your server or waitress, the way you're treated can be the best expereince you've ever had or the worst. My recent trip was by far the worst I've ever had thanks to miss red lipstick!! If you hate your job and your life, don't take it out on others. Find a new career path that you can embrace, like stripping. This way you never open your mouth and no one cares if you're serving with a smile.

My husband and I have been looking all over town for a great cheesesteak and finally found it here..... with the welcome surprise of pizza by slice. Great beer choices on tap. Bang for the buck is great, with several well priced daily specials. Wait staff isn't that great. Our waitress took forever and wasn't very friendly, didn't crack a smile all night. Atmosphere is cool with local artist displaying their works on the walls. A bit loud but we like the music. Give the Philly 5 stars.
