HMO and POS programs often require a referral from your primary care physician (PCP). Please ensure your PCP sends your referral prior to your appointment. Due to managed care restrictions, we are unable to treat some patients without a referral.
Emergency Care
If urgent problems arise, a Goodman Campbell physician is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When the office is closed, call 317-396-1300 to reach the answering service. An on-call physician will be contacted immediately. If necessary, please call 911 or travel to the nearest hospital emergency room covered by Goodman Campbell physicians at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Franciscan St. Francis Hospital Indianapolis or ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Epilepsy
This surgery for uncontrolled or medically refractory epilepsy/seizures is an aggressive way to obtain excellent results when others have failed.

Radiology
Beginning in 2020, our physicians accepted clinical assistant professorships with the Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. In July, this commitment allowed fourth-year medical students to have a neurological rotation with Goodman Campbell. Through the month-long rotation, students get a vast array of experiences in brain, spine, trauma, neurointerventional radiology and pain management. Because of their experience at Goodman Campbell, students will be able to share the knowledge and expertise gained to benefit their future patients.
X-Rays
Computed Tomography
A CT scan of the head or brain is taken to look at the skull and brain. This test is often ordered to look for signs of trauma, infection, tumor, stroke or bleeding. A CT scan of the spine may be used to look for conditions affecting bone quality or structural problems involving the spinal skeleton. A computed tomography (CT) scan takes X-ray images from different angles and uses a computer to create cross-sectional images (or “slices”) of your body.
Radiation Therapy
Focus: This phase III trial compares the addition of stereotactic radiosurgery before or after surgery in treating patients with cancer that has spread to the brain (brain metastases). Stereotactic radiosurgery is a type of radiation therapy that delivers a high dose of radiation only to the small areas of cancer in the brain and avoids the surrounding normal brain tissue. Surgery and radiation may stop the tumor from growing for a few months or longer and may reduce symptoms of brain metastases.

Sciatica
Our interventional pain management physicians work closely in collaboration with our neurosurgeons. This collaborative effort ensures that Goodman Campbell patients receive a thorough evaluation of the source of their pain and exhaust all reasonable treatment options before undergoing spinal surgery. Goodman Campbell interventional pain management physicians are available to see all pain and spine-related conditions such as d egenerat ive disc disease, herniate d disc, sciatica and complex regional pain syndromes, among other painful conditions. Some of the commonly performed procedures include epidural steroid injection s, selective nerve root blocks, facet joint blocks/rhizotomies and spinal cord stimulation for treating refractory and severe pain.

Our expertise is comprehensive and includes treatment for meningioma, glioma, glioblastoma, pituitary, astrocytoma and schwannoma. Secondary or metastatic brain lesions typically originate from lung, breast, kidney and skin cancers. A team of neurosurgeon brain tumor specialists are available to review and discuss individual cases to determine the best treatment plan for each patient. Goodman Campbell neurosurgeons collaborate with medical and radiation oncologists on cases that require additional treatments, including stereotactic radiosurgery for example. Skull base lesions located at the base of the brain are considered among the most difficult to treat surgically. Through the use of a multidisciplinary team approach and refinement of craniofacial, skull base surgical and microsurgical techniques, many patients with deep-seated tumors and vascular lesions are routinely and safely treated.
