Great. Everything was explained and he showed me where the supports in basement are rotting from the varmints. They were all very nice and respectful. Didn't take long but house is small.

When you are told that you have termite problem and termite damage at your lovely home, you must be very devastating! Yes, I was! But now I can say: Let Modern takes care of it, you will be in good hands!

Modern Exterminating did an inspection for us prior to the purchase of our home,they suggested opening a small hole in an area where they suspected termite damage. The seller refused to let them look,we bought the home and had Modern follow through with further inspection,the entire front wall had termite damage. It was hidden by plaster that looked fine, Modern was right,you need to look. They came up with a plan for repairs,they walked us through every step of the way.Their carpentry division did a wonderful job,their customer service is excellent.

I called about a mice problem and they came out and discussed my options and how they plan to deal with the mice. I accepted the terms and they returned the following week to follow-up.

This company is very responsive and professional. It's been six months and I have had no issues of mice or any other bugs. I signed up for the annual service and they call every three months to schedule an appointment without me having to chase them down to do it. I am very happy with their customer service, service provided, the professionalism of their technicians, and value for money paid.

If you want someone that will take their job seriously and do everything right - then call Modern - for any carpentry work.

We moved into a house that had wood rot, previous termites, pests - etc. Modern did not hesitate to look all around the inside and outside of the house including - basement and crawl space. He was covered in dirt from crawling in the space and in the attic - he was Everywhere.

They not only treat the termites from the inside out, but other pests as well. They also repair siding and etc from wood rot. Overall - very pleasant to deal with b/c they are very knowledgeable and will offer tips and advice to maintain your home.

Please note the carpentry division gets 5 stars. The pest division - not so much! I called for a follow up visit and no one ever returned my phone call. We will call someone else for pest control but happy with the carpentry work they performed on our house.

Modern provided services to us for buying and selling three homes. In addition we have used them the passed fifteen years for monthly pest remediation. They are always very professional and courteous. Scott really knows his bugs and is very helpful.

I would recommend these people to anyone. They took a really bad situation that my husband and I were in,trying to sell a house and they took care of it immediately. Very happy with the work and results

I recently ran into a serviceman from Modern at my grocery store and overheard him talking to a young lady about a mice problem that she had so I went to them as they were talking and asked if I could listen. Dave said sure and as he explained what we should do and the best way to rid us of our problem he was so courteous and stop each time we had a question and answered in a way that we could understand. being a single mother as well as Debbie (the other lady). It was the first time in a long time I have run into a serviceman who liked were he worked in a long time. I asked if he could come and look at my house he explained that he was out due to injury. But if our problems were to get worse to call and ask for Dave Earwood or Chuck Mohler and they would be able to help with any of our needs.

In the last three years we have used Modern for bug inspection and structural repair work twice. Their carpentry supervisor Gary O. is a talented and skillful craftsman!
We are very happy with Gary's crew's work on this project, as well as the previous project.
We purchase our 95 year old Sears Kit home 3 years ago. At the time, based on home inspection, we contacted Modern on a recommendation from our long term real estate agent. We were not disappointed as they kept their appointment, were knowledgeable, and found some structural damage cause by previous termite activity but also confirmed that termites were no longer present, to our relief. We were able to negotiate a several thousand dollar reduction in home price because of this. At the time we chose to use that money for the house repairs supporting the main beam of the house and all the wooden supports that held it, as well as adding some steel columns. We waited until now to do the wood frame garage structural repairs and that new job is the catalyst for this review. I am moved by the quality of their work and their professionalism, craftsmanship and thoroughness to write this review!
We know Modern does an excellent job when repairing structural damage, very thorough and always goes the extra mile to make us happy. This is the second time we used Modern's first rate structural services, and it exceeds our first experience with them which was great. You cannot go wrong using them, they do structural work every day of the week as opposed to other carpenters who while good, do a little of everything. I would not use anyone else for this type of work.

I highly recommend Modern and I am thankful for the quality they provide!

My main man Marco is the best. He'll come out as many times as necessary to treat bugs if you're under contract and is always polite and professional I've been very happy with them and used to have a termite contract with them on my former home
