Gerber RV

11/29/17 I brought my trailer to Gerber for repairs part of an ins claim, was told it would take 4 days to complete. specifically mentioned we have a weekend business needed any repairs done by Friday. Specifically asked please order the parts ahead so the work could be completed on time. They said Monday 1/8/18, done Friday 1/12, Thurs 1/11 they say waiting on ‘special tape’ (they measured wrong & got the wrong part)I missed that weekend of business. They wouldn’t release the trailer til ins paid them. -That’s no way to build customer relationship- When I went pick it up the panel they replaced looked worse than the one that was damaged from the accident.
I said it needed to be fixed properly.
They said bring it back Monday 1/22 and they would fix it. Then they called and said Monday 1/29 instead. Then they said no, Feb 5. Finally Feb 6 they replaced the panel but the custom wrap still was not installed and I noticed 2 other problems with their craftsmanship. A safety light was reinstalled in a different location and half of it was behind a rain gutter (when I removed it to relocate it, there was no silicone. Thanks Gerber!)
The other issue is with a section of trim that was originally one long piece.
It appears they had some scraps lying around and pieced them together to save some money.
Now, while all this is happening, I’m using my trailer for work without the custom wrap.
My business is all about appearance, presentation and atmosphere. So for for nearly two months my trailer is Finally done 2/16/18, more than a month later than they said it would be completed. I went to Gerber with hopes of being a long term customer, mostly because of their location. Now, I’ll go far as I have to,Gerber’s not worth the convenience...
PS- 3/23/18 I finally got around to installing the marker lights (they took off n never put back on) and noticed more garbage work. The bottom of the panel wasn’t screwed to the frame but they put ‘decorative screws’ to make it look finished.
