I’ve had a Seth Thomas strike clock since 1978 and this Fall the unit stopped operating. I was concerned about this because I’m new to the area and the clock has great sentimental value to me. After doing a quick search online, I found Michael Gainey’s Master Clock Repair. I emailed with Michael about my clock. He responded quickly with a thorough overview of what it might take to repair the clock, which was great to know up front. I made an appointment and met with him. He provided an estimate indicating that he thought the motor might need replacing. He quoted a repair timeline and a cost estimate to repair the clock. I picked up the clock in January; the final cost was under budget and delivered 1.5 weeks sooner than his original estimate. I found him to be professional, courteous, and at the top of his field. I had a great experience working with him and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to preserve a family heirloom!

They are very knowledgeable and kind! They fixed my grandmothers coo coo clock and it has worked great. They will keep your clock for over a week to make sure it keeps the correct time. But it's worth it as they do a great job

Today I had Master Clock Repair service my grandfather clock in my home. Michael showed up within the appointment time frame. He did a nice job cleaning and adjusting my clock. Michael has been taking care of it since 1991. I would not trust it to anyone else.
We also recently took our cuckoo clock to their shop for repair. The dancers would no longer work. Michael looked at the clock and immediately knew the problem. Upon pick up after the repair, we were very impressed with Christian who explained all about the clock repair and what we needed to do to hang it once we got it home.

I have worked with Master Clock in the past and when I recently inherited an antique clock, there was no question in my mind where to take it as it had a few issues and was not running. I made an appointment with Michael to meet and have him take a look and see what my options were. He was very thorough in his assessment and walked me through my options. Once completed (which was on time) we set a time for my return to pick it up. When I arrived, Michael explained to me the proper operation of the clock and how to set and calibrate. This was a very in-depth conversation and he never made me feel rushed, but rather it was evident that his goal was to make sure I had a clear understanding of all the intricacies of the clock as it is over 100 years old. I learned quote a bit and appreciate the level of service provided. With regard to the cost, it was very fair for the work performed. Additionally, on my first visit, all the terms were spelled out so there were no surprises. I will definitely return the next time I have a need. The level on competency and dedication is un matched.

We inherited my in-laws 47 year old grandmother clock that had not been running for approximately 12 years after their passing. Reached out to Michael via his website for setting up a "house call". Received a follow up call that day to discuss in detail what the circumstances were and determined that in all likelihood could be addressed on-site. They scheduled within a week and gave me a courtesy call when enroute. Michael assessed the issue and confirmed it could be repaired in my home and completed the job in about an hour. Not only was the clock brought back to life, but I was given a thorough explanation and shown what the problem was. He gave me a history of the clock itself and how to maintain its operation. There were several things about the clock that I was completely unaware of regarding its operation and how to best keep it running. He is without a doubt the most knowledgeable person I have encountered when it comes to clock work. He was on-time, professional and very conscientious. It is good to know that there are still "master craftsman" out there they take such pride in a job well done. Would only recommend him to others without hesitation.

I called Mike to ask if he would be able to service my Howard Miller Chaplin tripod grandfather clock. It needed internal repairs as well as cosmetic repairs. I took it in to Mike’s shop and he called Howard Miller to get the necessary replacement parts and worked to restore it to its original beauty. He delivered it to us and spent as much time as needed to teach us the correct way to operate the clock. So glad we contacted him first.

Mike showed up on time and moved my grandfather clock from one location to another and "tuned" up the clock. The clock works perfectly and keeps exact time.
