General Info: Frank J. Penna, MD, received his medical degree from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey. He completed his residency in urology at the Vattikuti Urology Institute at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, under the direction of Dr. Mani Menon, a renowned innovator in robotic surgery. He then completed his fellowship in pediatric urology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Penna's clinical interests include minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, hypospadias, vesicoureteral reflux, recurrent urinary tract infections, and urinary tract reconstruction. Research interests include novel device development and advancing medical education, including simulation research.
