Sat at the bar and had an excellent dining experience thanks to Chrisopher...he is fantastic! Great service overall and loved the talapia. Best guacamole too...love that it's chunky.
Fresh ingredients and excellent service. Some of the dishes are OK, few are great and many are just OK
The foods in this restaurant are worth the price and there are far better dining experiences to be had in Salpicon. It was a great choice and great value, which was the most enjoyable part of our night. My first impression was, amazing. The service was very friendly and fast. However, the veg-food came in small dish and quality was worth the money. Are you looking for a place with great ambiance this is the right venue. Me and my gf had an awesome chat, after a long time... The service was very friendly and fast. However, the veg-food came in small dish and quality was worth the money.
Service was kind to me. Tasty food, affordable price, by lunch went better in both and quality and cost wise. . I was wary about the list of tequilas but the waiters knew how to deal with it. Iメll have already decided to have a get together with my friends at this place. We most certainly will return and will be telling all of our friends of an wonderful experience. The food was unbelievable, like the decor and ambience. By far the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in Chicago.
We still talk about it 6 months after we went there. Person who likes to try different kinds of appetizers will love this place for sure. Food was reasonable, atmosphere was good and the staffs were friendly enough to sustain us. All of us loved it; we had a wonderful dining which was enjoyable as well as unforgettable. I lost my face but the manager was polite enough to let me pay, on my next visit. A manager recognizing all the customers is not something you get at a regular restaurant. Besides their best service, the ambience is not something that can be forgotten.
Appetizers are in good range like the $7, affordable and tastier too... and Pescado fish food $18 has a lot of omega 3 vitamins... gives you more stamina, are they serving good food? No they are not. Why? Cuz they serve the best food. Forgot to mention something special here, the Mole De Olla was at its best. Dont forget to try it when u get there. The flavors of the curries taste so authentic and fresh. The Jalapeos Rellenos de Queso Capeados are a must have and come out in a way we have never seen before. Still Salpicon is my favorite restaurant. Every time I go, I just want to come up with different taste and varieties. Its always fantastic.
They have got a new very significant variety of various meats along with sea food seviche, which in turn My spouse and i tried out - these folks were wonderful. My spouse and i didn't tried out your Salbutes nevertheless from your seems to be plus the means people ended up savoring the idea, My spouse and i are arranging to return pertaining to evening meal in our wedding ceremony along with check out these people out and about. Assistance ended up being variety in my opinion. Scrumptious foodstuff, reasonably priced price tag, by simply lunch break gone greater throughout the two along with good quality along with charge clever.
Salpicon is a great restaurant for Mexican food in Chicago. You will find many competition within the town and Salpicon does a fantastic job of distinguising itself with quality elements, a cutting-edge menu, and terrific execution from the dishes. I recommend Salpicon to pals and family.
Me and my friends went to cerebrate my birthday, and UNFORTUNATELY I choose to go to Salpicon, as I always like to try new places. Starting with making the reservation; they take your credit card information when reserving a table, as there is a $75.00 cancellation fee per person… As soon as we arrived, we had to wait 20 min. for valet parking and 30 min. to be seated even though we had a reservation. Let's move forward with awful customer service… the owner instead of greeting was very rude; the servers, would not take an appetizer order unless the full order was placed at once. The prices are outrageous and the food portions are very small, the food is not as tasty, the restaurant is very simple, definitely not worth their price… Unfortunately, they ruin my appetite; I hope this review reaches other people before their appetite gets ruined. If you are willing to have a great experience, try Adobo grill (much less expensive, much better food, great ambiance), Carnival (expensive but worth their price, great customer service, really fancy, excellent chef selection…) and I can go on, but definitely any other place will make you feel welcome. DO NOT GO TO SALPICON!
