Resin Composite
Traditionally, mercury fillings are replaced by tooth colored resin fillings, which contain BPA. BPA, known as Bisphenol A, is an organic compound used as a building block for several important plastics, plastic additives and in composite dental resins. It has been found to be hazardous to humans due to its estrogenic and possible carcinogenic potential. For the safety of our patients, ORA has diligently sought out a BPA-free dental composite resin, which we use exclusively.
Veneers
The treatment involves the upper 8 to 12 teeth with porcelain veneers and/or crowns, as well as laser gum contouring, typically to replace old restorations or address major aesthetic concerns. The number of teeth included in the Smile Design depends on how many teeth show in your smile and what specific aesthetic dilemmas need to be corrected.

Dr. Roderic dela Cruz, DMD, is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In 2006, he received his dental degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon graduation, Dr. dela Cruz furthered his dental training with completion of a General Practice Residency at Rush University Medical Center. While at Rush, he was affiliated with the Rush Dental Group, where he routinely treated medically compromised patients in the ER, in-patient, and operative settings.
