Brookstown Hardware

This store is about one and one half miles from my home, so it is convenient to go to. I have been there many times, and they usually have what I need. But, in the last year, parking has become a big problem. I sometimes have to make the block several times before I can get a space. Today, on my third time around the block, a white truck pulled out. A car next to it was backed up, and I had seen this car there as I had made the block. As I went to pull into the space vacated by the truck, the car that had been backed up pulled across the spot and the guy motioned for me to move. He did it in a threatening manner. I don't know what he was doing--it had appeared that he was leaving--but as I pulled off he backed into the area again, this time taking up two spots. I decided to go elsewhere for what I needed. This store is located in a very dangerous area of town, and I felt threatened by the guy in the car. What I don't understand, when you go into the store, there aren't enough customers for all the cars outside. Employees must be taking up all the spaces. Adding to the problem today was a truck pulling a boat. He pulled up longways in the lot, and was blocking people from getting out. I will not go back. It is not worth the hassle of parking.

I enjoy coming into the Brookstown Hardware store. Their selection and pricing are always a working combo for whatever budget I have. The associates are attentive and resourceful every time I enter this establishment.
