The Charles

My cousin and I decided to meet up with my aunt to have bunch at the Charles Village Pub on St Paul Street were we was discriminated against by an Caucasian Bartender. The Bartender made a remake that we wasn't getting anything for free, Because the African- American cook we knew was cooking in the back. We never wanted or looked to get anything for free we just wanted to so support to our friend. The Bartender made a big seen in front of the other Caucasian Customers. As w...e set there appalled by what just happen and looking around seeing how some of the customers look at us like we didn't belong there in the first place. I have never felt so Humiliated in my Life. I felt so bad to be looked down on as an African-American Taxpayer that should be able to go in any public place and have a meal. As the manager had a side conversation about what just happened with the other customers. After that we choose to cancel Our order and leave. And because we choose not to eat there, Because at this time they made us feel so outta place, the Caucasian Bartender said (as We where Living) that we didn't want our order because It wasn't FREE. IS This STILL the world We Live In. Crazy!!! And we couldn't speak with the owner, because he wasn't there. And no information would be given to us. And the Manager/waitress was so rude to us when we called to ask for the Owners info so we could express how they made us feel. If this is the Type of employees the owner of Charles Village Pub of St. Paul Street has, I as A Human Being will never ever go there again. I would never want my child to have to go though this and its a shame that our ancestors walked and fight together (White and Black), so that we all could be treated with RESPECT!!!
