Crown Security Charles Street

I had a BAD experience with FORTIUS (aka Crown Security System). To summarize, my system stopped working and Fortius failed to communicate this clearly, leaving me unmonitored for 3 months during which my neighbor was robbed. Unlike my new provider, ADT, whose comparable $50 fees cover maintenance and who provide an app for remote monitoring, Fortius wanted to charge $200 to replace hardware that was just 3 years old. The worst part was interacting with company representatives who offered excuses (as they will again) and were combative and threatening. I sought to end the relationship only to find Fortius automatically renewed my contract on a yearly basis (again, unlike ADT, which goes month-to-month) without alerting me after the initial term expired. Switching costs me hundreds of dollars which I will happily pay in order to avoid working with Fortius. I normally prefer local companies, but in this case ADT offers a better product at a better price with better customer service.
