My experience at this restaurant has gotten me to join this site, just to write this review.
My husband and I went with another couple to enjoy my birthday at Pueblo Solis. We were expecting the service that we had previously gotten two years ago- quick, wonderful service and staff, and good food.
We were seated immediately on a Friday evening. Great, or so we thought. Unfortunately, we never got to taste the food, because after 20 minutes of waiting at our table, were never even offered drinks. I was extremely disappointed in this local restaurant. How can you ask someone to wait 20 minutes for drinks?!?!? We stood up and left the restaurant without looking back. We won't be back again.
Upon looking at the menu while waiting, beacuse we had a lot of time, I noticed too that their menu is set up strangely. Who charges $11.99 for fajitas that doesn't include anything but the tortilla and meat? Lettuce and tomato are 50cents extra, cheese and sour cream 95cents extra. That's weird.
After leaving the restaurant, we ended up going up Hampton a bit further to Amigo Joe's fastest service ever and excellent food. We'll be going there from now on.

The food was fabulous! Right up there with the best Mexican in Texas! Service was great and the atmosphere was that of a very small Mexican cafe. Watch out because the portions are huge (don't over do it on the appetizers). AND the best margarita I have ever had. A fun evening all around!!!

Food was good. The service was good and quick. The atmosphere wasn't the best. Overcrowded and the tables were too close. Also.. too dark... don't like a place that is too dark that I can't read the menu or barely see my food. Also, I felt like we were rushed out of there. Not a place to go for a date or to have a leisurely dining experience.

Provided by SuperpagesPueblo Solis was vote #1 for the Best Margarita and #2 for the Best Mexican Food in St. Louis for 2006. I also read other reviews that complained about the wait time and crowded inside tables. I decided to go on a Monday; called to see how busy they were and planned on sitting outside. We were seated immediately and ordered a Margarita; very little liquor and if not for the squeeze of lime, very little taste. The food was below par and a bit pricey for Mexican. I cannot understand how this restaurant would be considered for the top ten in area for St. Louis, much less rank 1st and 2nd.

Provided by SuperpagesWe drove for 40 minutes to get to this restaurant, because they were rated highly in the River Front Times. Once we were seated, we were given some so-so chips (no body) and some average salsa (no bite). We each ordered, and commenced to wait. Among other things, we ordered guacamole. We were served the guacamole, and we waited some more. Four other tables were seated and served their dinners before our server finally came back to our table to ask us to remind him what we had ordered. This occurred more than one and a half hours after we had initially been seated. He made no apologies, and gave us a lame excuse. By then, we had decided to leave. I guess we were lucky, because we only had to pay $48.00 for a couple of drinks, chips/salsa, and some rather bland guacamole. I left him a $10 dollar tip. He's gonna need it.
